Confirm you will adhere to the requirements of Cadent’s Code of Conduct. This includes2:

  • Human Rights and Prevention of Slavery and Human Trafficking
  • Conflict Minerals

Confirm you will comply with the requirements of
Cadent’s other relevant policies:

  • Safety and Wellbeing

Name the individual and provide contact details within your organisation who is accountable for sustainability.

Commit to supporting Cadent’s three pillars of sustainability: Easier Warmth, Fairer Opportunities and Greener Society, and associated activities, aligned to relevant UN Sustainability Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Confirm agreement to joining the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS). If not a member, commit to signing up, should you be successful.


  1. For any procurement events run through Achilles, Achilles Silver Plus would be required.
  2. The requirement is not to adopt but to confirm you are acting in accordance with these provisions.

Does your organizational structure include dedicated role(s) for sustainability?*

External: 

  • Common Assessment Standard evidenced through for example: Constructionline  
  • You may or may not have an environmental certification e.g. ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 50001 (Energy Management) 

Where applicable, we would accept equivalencies. 

Depending on the nature of the services you will be providing, an Achilles B2 Verify Audit or Constructionline audit may be required. This will be set in the procurement documentation

Internal: 

  • Provide your environmental sustainability policy statement with evidence of compliance, e.g. reporting. 
  • Provide your equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion policy statement with evidence of compliance. 
  • Report and publish*:  
  • Annual gender pay gap 
  • Annual ethnicity pay gap
