Supply Chain Sustainability & Social Values 2027
We’re delighted to launch the Cadent Supply Chain Sustainability & Social Value Awards 2027, celebrating the organisations helping us deliver a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient future.
Now the third year, the awards recognise suppliers that are making a positive impact through innovation, environmental leadership, community engagement and social value. Entries are welcome from organisations of all sizes across our three sustainability pillars.
Award winners will be announced at a celebration event on 11 March 2027 at Ansty, Coventry, bringing together suppliers and industry partners to showcase outstanding achievements from across our supply chain.

We know there is only one Earth, we all must do everything we can to conserve Earth’s resources and our environment now; there is no Planet B.
We remain focused on driving down energy consumption, working with suppliers to reduce virgin resource use, and continuing to focus on reducing Cadent’s scope 3 emissions.
We always aim to make decisions that positively impact environmental, social, and economic factors, and expect our suppliers to support us in this goal.

Expectations
What you can expect from Cadent
- Providing you with opportunities to easily get involved and deliver social value as part of the Cadent team
- Paying you on time
- Ensuring everyone returns home safely and securely at the end of the day
- Operating an open, fair and transparent procurement
- Working with SMEs in our local regions to use local labour, locally made goods and materials, improve equal opportunities and reduce environmental impact
- Proactively seeking a diversified workforce in our supply chain (gender, background, culture)
- Helping inform, educate and upskill suppliers in sustainable practices and new technology such as Hydrogen, so no suppliers are left behind
- Providing opportunities for the supply chain to get involved in social value activities so that you and our local communities thrive
What Cadent expects from you, as our supplier
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing: Suppliers must comply with relevant legislation, continuously improve their health and safety management systems, and promote a safe working environment.
- Data Protection: Suppliers must adhere to Cadents data protection standards and relevant UK legislation.
- Protecting the Environment: We are committed to sustainability and expect suppliers to support our environmental policy objectives.
- Ethical Culture and Responsibilities: Cadent is committed to conducting business with integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior. Suppliers are expected to uphold these standards, promote an inclusive culture, and address any unethical behavior promptly.
- Fraud, Bribery, Corruption, and facilitation of tax evasion: Cadent have a zero-tolerance approach to fraud, bribery, corrupt practices, and tax evasion.
- Entertainment, Hospitality, Gifts, and Cash Rewards: Avoid offering gifts or hospitality to our employees to prevent conflicts of interest.
- Human Rights and Prevention of Slavery and Human Trafficking: Suppliers must respect their employees and provide a safe workplace free from harm, intimidation, and discrimination
- Monitoring and Reporting Suppliers: must evaluate their activities to ensure compliance with this code of conduct
