As a goods supplier for Cadent, we’d expect you to meet the sustainability requirements set out below during this stage of procurement.

During the lifetime of your contract with us, we will ask you to tell us:

  1. How will you minimise your impact on the environment through your activities e.g. embedded carbon, circular economy etc.
  2. How sustainability is designed into the product and its packaging including labelling, end of life recoverability/ reusability, maintenance/ durability
  3. What you will do to be a more equitable and diverse employer, including how you will create an inclusive culture for your employees (internal to your organization)
  4. The social value activities you would deliver (external to your organization)

For the above tender commitments:

  • Demonstrate links to the UN SDGs and Cadent’s three pillars Easier Warmth, Fairer Opportunities and Greener Society.
  • How you will evidence these during contract delivery, supported by case study examples.
  • Propose the measures and metrics for reporting progress on their delivery.
