As a supplier of operational services to Cadent, we’d expect you to meet the sustainability requirements set out below during this stage of procurement.

Requirements
- Registration on Achilles Silver Plus1
Confirm you will adhere to the requirements of Cadent’s Code of Conduct. This includes2:
- Business Ethics Standards
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing
- Data Protection
- Protecting the Environment
- Resilience and Business Continuity
- Human Rights and Prevention of Slavery and Human Trafficking
- Conflict Minerals
- Community and Supplier Diversity
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Subcontracting and Supply Chain
Confirm you will comply with the requirements of
Cadent’s other relevant policies:
- Doing the Right Thing
- Anti-corruption and Bribery Policy
- Environment Policy
- Safety and Wellbeing
Name the individual and provide contact details within your organisation who is accountable for sustainability.
Commit to supporting Cadent’s three pillars of sustainability: Easier Warmth, Fairer Opportunities and Greener Society, and associated activities, aligned to relevant UN Sustainability Development Goals (UN SDGs).
Confirm agreement to joining the Supply Chain Sustainability School (SCSS). If not a member, commit to signing up, should you be successful.
- For any procurement events run through Achilles, Achilles Silver Plus would be required.
- The requirement is not to adopt but to confirm you are acting in accordance with these provisions.
Small company specific requirements
External
- Common Assessment Standard evidenced through for example:
- Constructionline
Where applicable, we would accept equivalencies.
Depending on the nature of the services you will be providing, an audit may be required e.g. Achilles B1/B2 Verify or Constructionline. This will be set out in the procurement documentation.
